Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 20 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of wed2wed (“wed2wed”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and our website, wedding-website builder, digital invitations, guest check-in tools and vendor marketplace (together, the “Services”).
By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Definitions
- “Platform” means the wed2wed website and applications.
- “Couple” or “User” means a person who registers to build a wedding website and manage guests.
- “Vendor” means a business that registers a storefront in the marketplace.
- “Guest” means a person invited to a couple’s wedding via the Services.
- “Content” means any text, images, or other material submitted to the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
3. Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use or security breach. We may refuse, suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms.
4. The Services
The Services let couples build and publish wedding websites, send QR-code invitations, collect RSVPs and check guests in at a venue, and let vendors publish storefronts and receive inquiries from couples. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
5. Free features and paid subscriptions
Core features for couples, and basic vendor storefronts and inquiries, are provided free of charge. Vendors may optionally subscribe to a paid tier (“Go Pro”) for additional visibility and features.
- Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment provider (Paystack) in the currency shown at checkout (Nigerian Naira by default) and, unless stated otherwise, renew automatically for successive periods until cancelled.
- You may cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain paid features until then.
- Except where required by law or expressly stated, fees already paid are non-refundable. Applicable taxes may be added.
- We may change fees or plan features on reasonable notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
6. Your content and licence
You retain ownership of Content you submit. You grant wed2wed a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, to resize images) and display your Content solely to operate and improve the Services.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights and permissions to your Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.
7. Couple responsibilities and guest data
If you upload or manage guest information, you are the data controller for that information. You must have a lawful basis to collect and use it, provide any notices and obtain any consents required by applicable law, and use it only for your wedding. You are responsible for the accuracy of details you publish, including any registry, gift or bank account information. You agree to handle guest data responsibly and in line with our Privacy Policy.
8. Vendor terms
If you register as a vendor, you additionally agree that:
- Your storefront, listings, pricing and representations will be accurate, lawful and not misleading, and you will honour the offers you publish.
- Storefronts are reviewed before going live and may be rejected, suspended or removed if they breach these Terms or our guidelines.
- wed2wed is a listing and discovery platform only. We do not guarantee any number of profile views, inquiries, leads, bookings, revenue or results, and we are not a party to any contract you enter into with a couple.
- You will respond to couples’ inquiries professionally and handle any personal data you receive in accordance with applicable law.
- Paid placement (Go Pro) affects ranking or badges as described but does not change your obligations under these Terms.
- Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership or joint-venture relationship between you and wed2wed.
9. Reviews and community content
Only a couple with a published wedding may post reviews, and only one review per vendor. Reviews must be honest, based on genuine experience, and must not be unlawful, defamatory, harassing or fraudulent. A “Verified inquiry” badge indicates the reviewer previously contacted that vendor through wed2wed; it is not an endorsement by us.
We may moderate, decline to publish, or remove reviews and other Content that breach these Terms. Vendors may not edit or delete reviews about them, but may respond where that feature is available. Reviews reflect the views of their authors, not wed2wed.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose.
- Upload Content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, harassing or that violates others’ privacy or rights.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation, or post fake reviews or listings.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt or circumvent the security of the Services, or misuse invitation codes, QR codes or check-in links.
- Scrape, harvest or collect data from the Services except as expressly permitted.
- Introduce malware, or send spam or unsolicited communications through the Services.
11. Intellectual property
The Services, including the wed2wed name, logo, software, design and content we provide, are owned by wed2wed or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services as intended. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or create derivative works from the Services except as permitted by law or with our written consent.
12. Third-party services
The Services rely on and link to third parties, including Paystack (payments), Google Maps (directions) and external links you add. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
13. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, and we do not endorse or guarantee any vendor, couple, guest or their Content.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, wed2wed and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or bookings, arising from or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or NGN 20,000. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless wed2wed from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with your Content, your use of the Services, your dealings with couples, vendors or guests, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
16. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Services or other users. On termination, your right to use the Services ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnities) will survive.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your place of residence.
19. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and wed2wed regarding the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
